Couple gives first testimony 20-years after Slutzker conviction
At the time convicted murderer Steven Slutzker was allegedly killing his former girlfriend's husband, an ex-Mckeesport couple testified in court yesterday Slutzker was with them 30 miles away from the man's home, reports Bill Moushey, a writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and director of the Innocence Institute.
In the 30-year history of the case, this is the first time the O'Dea couple has testified in this case. The overturning of Slutzker's conviction was in part because Slutzker's previous attorney did not interview the couple. Pittsburgh Judge Jeffrey Manning scheduled the next trial for Sept. 6.
